Club Night – Tuesday 24th September, 2013

Folks,

Just a reminder that we’re back to meeting from 7 to 11pm at the Oldmeldrum British Legion. Only 4 members last week so the club made a small loss. Hopefully this is just a blip and we’ll see our regular members back in five shortly.

We’ll continue to monitor numbers over the coming weeks and perhaps take a vote on weekly dues and or club times depending on the numbers that we get.

At the moment nothing else is planned; however Alistair and John mentioned that they may put on an American Civil War scenario. Alternatively you can take along your own figures for a game!

In order to gauge numbers can you please respond and let us know if you’ll make it along.

Hope to see you all tonight.

Best regards,

OWG

Club Night – Tuesday 17th September, 2013

Folks,

We’re back to meeting from 7 to 11pm at the Oldmeldrum British Legion; however the price of the room rental has increased from £10 to £19 per night – as a result we need to get at least 5 members per week to make this wok financially. If we can’t keep up the numbers we’ll either need to stick to 6-10pm or increase the weekly fees.

Plans for this coming week are as follows:

Table 1:

Mike Travis will be putting on an early war Bolt Action scenario using his French and Germans. Mike has figures enough for a decent 1v 1 game.

At the moment nothing else is planned; however there will be boardgames available should you wish or you can take along your own figures for a game! In order to gauge numbers can you please respond to the embedded poll.

Hope to see you all tonight.

Best regards,

OWG

Sunday 15th September, 2013 – Monthly Wargames Day

Folks,

It’s that time of month again (well a little later than usual) when we meet for our monthly Sunday game day. This will take place as usual from around 10am to 4pm at the Oldmeldrum British Legion.

This month sees the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Flodden (9th September). Alistair Massey will be setting up a scenario based on part of this battle using the “Pike & Shotte” rules by Warlord Games

Will you be along?

In recent weeks the club has seen a gradual decline in numbers and is just covering the increased cost of hiring the gaming room. In order to judge numbers can you please respond to the embedded poll so that we can judge if it is viable to put on a game.

Hope to see you all there.

Best Regards,

OWG
